About the Role

$16/hr + tips (equates to $18-$21/hr)

Day shift hours: Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun 10am-3:30pm

Being a line cook at Hollycake House is a unique experience in which you are in view of and get to interact with the customers directly.

You will be preparing, plating and packaging breakfast sandwiches, panini, cold sandwiches, and wraps for in-house orders, to go orders as well as DoorDash and Grubhub orders.

This position allows you to come in for the day, prepare the orders, and clean up. All the prep will be completed for you!

This position is perfect for those with an outgoing personality with previous line cook experience who like to move quickly (especially on the weekends) and interact with team members and customers in a friendly and polite manner.   • +1 Year restaurant kitchen experience

  • Previous line cook experience (knife skills, flat top & fryer experience, etc.)

  • Basic knowledge of veganism and vegan food

What your job will look like:

  • Memorizing recipes, policies, procedures, and standard portion sizes

  • Serving customers with a smile and a genuine conversation

  • Serving up ridiculously tasty vegan food in a fun and fresh way

  • Help keep the cafe clean and shiny

  • Cooking on the line using the flat top grill, fryer, panini grill, conveyer toaster, and TurboChef

  • Maintaining freshness of product and rotating old product out (FIFO)

  • Working with a team to complete all orders in a timely manner

  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace at all times to avoid contamination

  • Being aware of and following all kitchen health and safety regulations and guidelines

  • Handling and preparing incoming orders from in-house POS and delivery partnersd in an accurate and timely manner according to customer requests
