Job Description – Part Time Line Cook

Primary Duty - Responsible for preparing assigned food items according to set recipes and portion control guidelines in a fast-paced, customer-facing role. Hours will be Thursday through Sunday from 10am to 3pm each day.


Required Duties

  • Line cook is responsible for setting up their stations and restocking item

  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by Hollycake House.

  • Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.

  • Cleans and maintains station while practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.

  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.

  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested at any time.

  • Must be able to interact with customers with a calm and friendly demeanor



  • Line cooks must possess basic knife and cooking skills.

  • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station including, but not limited to flat top, panini  grill, gas range, fryer, slicer, food processor, TurboChef.. 

  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

  • Previous prep or line cook experience.

  • Ability to take direction.

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.

  • Must have a commitment to quality service and a desire to always put forth your best effort

  • Must have the ability to communicate with customers in a kind and calm demeanor
